Number Rush

Numbers appear one after another. Type each one and press Enter or Space. You have 45 seconds.

How to play

Press Start. A number appears; type it and press Enter or Space. Numbers start with two digits and grow longer as your score rises, up to prices and reference numbers. A correct number scores one point per digit. A wrong number scores nothing and shakes the screen.

Number row or keypad

Both work. If you have a numeric keypad, use it with the right hand resting on 4, 5 and 6 and the thumb on 0: it is the fastest way to enter figures, and it is what data entry tests measure. Learn the keypad with the 10-key guide and the 10-key test.

Tips

  • Read long numbers in groups of two or three digits.
  • Keep your eyes on the screen, not on the keypad.
  • Press Enter with the little finger without moving your hand.

Questions

Which keys count?

Digits, the decimal point and the dollar sign. Enter or Space submits a number.

Is this like a 10-key test?

It trains the same skill. A 10-key test measures keystrokes per hour over a longer time.
